Black History Month @ the Library

by Erin Gratz on 2023-02-08T12:04:13-08:00 | 0 Comments

While many people would agree Black history month is every month, every February we take time to specifically celebrate the contributions, people, and the experiences of African Americans.  The OCC Library has many resources - books, films, and articles - that explore the history and current lives of Black people as well as the many gifts: creative, intellectual, political, and more that have contributed to the fabric of American life.  Take some time this month to explore some of these resources.  Maybe pick up an author you have never read, read a book or watch a documentary on a person you have been curious to learn more about, or learn about a time in our history.  For ideas of books and films, take a look at the OCC Library Black History Month resource guide
